A Step-by-Step Guide to Pairing AirPods with Windows

Here you will learn how to connect your AirPods to a Windows computer using Bluetooth. In addition to allowing you to enjoy your music and move around freely without having to worry about wires, connecting AirPods should take about a minute and be fairly straightforward. We’ll also show you how to enable the microphone on your AirPods so you can use it for things like online meetings or gaming.
Step 1: Open up the settings
Make sure that your AirPods/Bluetooth airphones are charged. Open up the Settings on your Windows computer by searching for “settings“ on Windows Search.

Step 2: Pair the AirPods with the computer
Select “Bluetooth and Devices” and ensure that the Bluetooth button is switched on. Click “Add Device” and then “Bluetooth,” which will start looking for nearby Bluetooth devices. The next step is to turn your AirPods on by opening their case.

To make the AirPods available for nearby devices, press and hold the back button. When the Airpods flash white, they should appear under “Add Device” as headphones on your computer. Once you click on it, your AirPods will be connected successfully.

How to enable the microphone
Remember that Siri will not work if you are linked to a Windows PC. The microphone may not work as well, however, this can be resolved in the Windows settings. Navigate to Settings and look for “Sound Settings.” Click “Choose your input device” under “Input” and select your AirPods.
